Due for Thursday Blog post: Link us to an opinion's piece or editorial that you disagree with and use two of the three classical appeals (ethos, logos, and pathos) to persuade your reader why your stance is more compelling. Feel free to discuss some logical fallacies as well! Due for Monday Blog post: Critique three commercials that you see this weekend - what approach does it use? What assumptions does it make of its audience? What was the goal of the commercial? What opportunities did it hit or miss? What understanding of America (its current state, its needs, its desires, or its idea of "progress") does it align with? Was it effective?
