Define all the terms in the back of our poetry packet. 2. Bring in a comic strip that connects to man's relationship to nature. If you cannot find one, bring in a comic strip about nature in general. Due for Monday Following the guide on page 7, assemble notes on your reading of Frost's "The Aim was Song" and how the poem operates. Due for Wednesday, Feb 3rd 1. Bring in 10 examples of iambs 2. Find a picture that leaves you in awe. Write a 8 line poem about how someone would ruin it for you. Bring in both to share with the class. 3. A Block will have a vocab quiz! Due for Friday Come mentally and physically prepared for our in-class essay Due for Wednesday, the 20th Submit the final draft of your representative profile to Turn It In. If you take your extension, the paper will be due before 11:59 pm, Sunday the 24th. Our The Odyssey essay is due on Wednesday, the 20th. I suggest that you follow this timeline:
By Monday night, finish an outline of how each paragraph will go. By Wednesday night, finish a couple body paragraphs. By Friday night, write the rest of your body paragraphs. Over the weekend, write the rest of your paper and give it a "once over" - marking up places where you know it needs more work and changing the quick mistakes. By Wednesday, the 20th, edit the places that you marked up and craft a polished draft. Don't forget, your "Judgmental Bard" presentations will be on Friday, the 15th.
